Hello fellow pet lovers.

My name is Soufiene, and I am a student at the University of Sydney. I want to develop a technology which can monitor your pets for you while you are not at home and let you know that they are safe.

Unlike other members of your family; Your Kids, Husband, Wife, Mother, Father, Brother, Sister ... Whatever the case may be. You cannot ring your pets to make sure that they are ok or to check up on them during the day. This is why I wish to develop a technology that will allow you to keep track of your pet throughout the day whether you are at work, school, shopping or whereever, you can rest your mind that they are fine.

However I need some help in getting this application started.

If you guys could please answer the following questions for me, I would much appreciate it!

The more detail you answer in, the more helpful it will be! Thankyou guys in advance!

1. Is this technology something you will be interested in?

2. Do you ever feel uneasy about how your pet is doing when you are not with them?

3.This technology will require some hardware that would need to be purchased. How much will you be willing to pay for this technology? (One time only)

4. What kinds of things do you want to know about your pet while you are out? So, imagine you can give your pet a call and have them answer you. What kind of questions would you ask them?

This will kind of be like ... your pet texting you throught the day telling you what it is up to. Or it may have its own twitter account where it updates what it is doing all day so you can check up on it.

It is not video monotiring, at all.

I am coming up with ways of determining what a pet is doing through an accelorometer and/or RFID tags depending on what it is that people actually want to know. It will probably be a tiny piece of hardware that attaches to your pet's collar ... again this depends on cost and what I will actually need to develop _base_d on user needs.

Sorry this is SOOO long but people are having trouble understanding what I mean.
