How to remove pet urine stains from carpet Print

My sister actually heard this on the ABC.

Shannon Lush has a recipe for treating urine stains on carpets and I have just tried it myself and it is amazing.  My stain was about the size of a bread and butter plate, was an orange colour on a bone carpet and had been there for a fair while and been treated with several other products and I had given up hope in removing it.  I actually thought the stain might have been made worse by tannins in the backing leaching through into the carpet.

"Put 2 drops of glycerine on a toothbrush and rub into stain lightly.  Leave for 1.5 hours.  Soak a clean cloth in white vinegar, squeeze out excess and rub lightly over stain."

It was that simple and I can tell you that the orange colour disappeared before my own eyes.  I am incredulous and I think every pet owner should have this recipe.
