1. Login

To get started, login to petsplayground.com.au using the username and password selected at registration (register here if you haven't already).
- Click 'Pet friendly holidays -> Manage property listings' in the main menu
- Click 'Change my password >>' if you would like to change your password
- Click 'Change my details >>' to begin updating your Property Mansger Profile

2. Complete your property manager profile
Update your Property Manager Profile and choose a commission structure for confirmed bookings.
Commissions
Pets Playground lets you choose a preferred commission for successful bookings, and you set this in your property manager profile. The default commission structure is % of total booking however you can change this to either a fixed fee per booking or fixed fee per night if you prefer (review rate card for all current rates).
If you wish you can change your login email address or password. Then select 'Back' to return to your Property Manager Profile.

- Click 'Save detail'
- Click '<< Back' to return to the Property Manager Profile window
- Click 'Create your first property listing'

3. Add your first holiday property listing
Start with the general property information screen
- Give a name to your property listing, e.g. ABC Cottage
- Select a listing type, e.g. selc contained cottage
- Choose a classification (e.g. 3.5)
- Choose a classification type (e.g. stars, paws etc)
- Write your adline - keep it brief and punchy. This is used as the description provided to search engines and will be read by prospective guests
- Floor - only required for multi-storey dwellings
- Give a contact name
- Select your state, region and town. If your town is unavailable please add it as well as your postcode
- Include your street address
- Include contact details, if the nominated contact person is different to the Property Manager

- NOTE: You cannot save your changes yet!
- Click the 'Details' tab at top left of your screen.
4. Describe your holiday property
Complete each of the fields:
- Brief description. This is what holiday seekers will see first, so make it count!
- Full description. This is the text that will appear in your property listing page. Do not include your rates, availability or information about any specific room, as this will be addressed later in Rooms, Rates and Availability (section 9 of this guide)
- Terms and Conditions. Include your terms and conditions of booking such as cancellation fees, check-in and check-out times, what happens in the event of property damage etc
Click the 'Apply changes' button at the top left of your screen. You will be given a message "Property listing saved!".
You can now click 'Apply changes' whenever you want to save your changes
Now click the 'Features' tab.
5. Add features and facilities
- City &/or sites - what are some nearby towns and/or tourist attractions and how far away are they?
- Provide details about the local environment, accommodation facilities, pet facilities and things to do in the region

Click 'Apply changes'
6. What credit cards do you accept?
What credit cards will you accept for payment of any residual amount outstanding after initial booking deposit? This is the amount remaining AFTER online payment that you will arrange to collect from your holiday tenant independently of Pets Playground. If you have collected a deposit at time of booking the residual amount will be the total charge less deposit paid. If you have chosen to accept full payment at time of booking then their will be NIL residual amount outstanding.
- Click 'Credit Cards'
- Which credit cards will you accept for residual payment? If you do not accept credit cards, simply leave these fields blank.
Click 'Apply changes'
7. Add pictures to your photo gallery
- Click 'Photos'
- Click 'browse' to select a photo from your computer (JPG, GIF or PNG files accepted up to 1MB each)
- Click 'apply changes' to save and upload this photo to your online photo library
- Repeat to add up to five (5) photos in total
8. Accepting online payments
You may take a deposit from your holiday tenant at time of booking. The deposit can be a percentage of the total charge, or a deposit. You can collect it directly or Pets Playground can collect this amount on your behalf:
- Receive online payment in full or % deposit at time of booking. To receive payments yourself you must have a Paypal account (for optimal online security). Just include your PayPal email address and the percentage of booking fee that you wish to collect at time of booking (e.g. 25 to request a 25% deposit, or '0' to request full payment up-front), or
- Have Pets Playground collect 10% deposit at time of booking, on your behalf. This will be remitted to your bank account less your agreed booking fee and 1.2% Paypal merchant charge
It is up to you to arrange collection of residual payment according to your terms and conditions.
Click 'Apply changes'.
You are now ready to start adding 'Rooms'.
9. Add rooms, pets, rates and availability
- Click 'Rooms'
- Click '+ create new + '
A 'room' is any space within this property listing that may be independently booked. Each 'room' can have its own availabiltiy and pricing. Here are some examples:
Bed & Breakfast
ABC B&B has 3 rooms that may be rented independently. They are entitled: Queen Bedroom, Balcony Room and Garden Suite. Each has its own availability and pricing structure.
XYZ Cottage
XYZ Cottage has two bedrooms but rents as a whole cottage. Therefore it only has one 'room' which has been entitled 2 bedroom cottage
Motel 123
Motel 123 has 20 rooms on three floors: 8 ground floor units, 8 first floor balcony units and 4 waterview suites on the 2nd floor. In this case there are 3 'rooms' including 8 x ground floor unit, 8 x balcony unit and 4 x waterview suite
Create a Room Profile for each 'room'. For each option you can specifiy rates and availability for up to two years.
General Information
Complete all fields including:
- Name of room option e.g. River View Room
- Maximum number of people included in rate
- Will you accept additional children? Is there an additional charge per child per night?
- Will you accept additional adults? Is there an additional charge per adult per night?
- How many pets will you permit per room? Is there a charge per pet per night?
- Which pets will you accept (please check all applicable)
- Do you have a minimum number of nights that holiday seekers can book for?
- Complete a description about the room - this should be able the room itself, not the property as a whole.
- Check 'Publish'

Click 'Apply changes'
Photo Gallery
- Click 'browse' to select a photo from your computer (JPG, GIF or PNG files accepted up to 1MB each)
- Click 'Apply Changes' to upload to your online photo gallery
- Repeat to add up to five (5) photos in total
Rates and availability
Pets Playground has introduced simple yet powerful tools to help you manage your rates and availability:
Batch availability management
Use the Batch Availability Management tools to quickly and easily apply rates and availability to blocks of dates, for up to two years in advance:
- Select the date range you want to update ('From' and 'To')
- Select the days of the week that you want to set a rate for
- Select the number of properties that you have available for a given rate (in your case probably 1)
- Add your nightly tariff for the property
- Include a 'reduced rate' if you wish to offer a special rate. This rate will override the standard rate
- Click ‘save’
Detailed availability management
Use the Detailed Availability Management tools to fine-tune your availability and rates as you need for individual nights:
- Make sure you're looking at the correct month – adjust using 'view month' dropdown at top of screen
- In the 'detailed management' window, update the rooms available, rate and possibly reduced rate
- When complete, click 'update rates and availability' at bottom of screen

- Click 'Apply changes'.
- Click 'Save & Quit' to return to the main property management screen
Channel Manager
Automate availability and rate management for your rental property listing on Pets Playground and other popular booking sites with a channel manager.
Custom holiday packages
Setup custom Holiday Packages, e.g. Winter Special: 3 nights midweek for $250.You can now customise Holiday Packages for your properties and rooms. Here are some examples:
- 3-night weekend rate
- 4 night midweek special rate
- 3-night Melbourne Cup weekend
- Summer Special - book 3+ nights midweek and save with a special rate

To setup your custom holiday packs:
- Select the 'type of Pack' (weekend only, midweek only or anytime)
- Give your custom holiday pack a title (e.g. '4 night midweek special rate')
- What is the minimum number of nights that this package is valid for (e.g. '4 nights')
- What are the start and end dates of this holiday package?
- What is your special rate per night? e.g. If usual midweek rate is $120/night and you want to offer 4 nights midweek for $400, then make your package rate $100 per night
- Finally, click the 'save icon' (image of floppy disk at lower right of screen)
10. Preview property listing

- Click 'Show property listing in the General Information screen to view your completed property listing.
- When satisfied, click 'Save & Quit'
- Your listing will be queued for administrator approval before it is made available to holiday seekers
